Happy Birthday, Metroblogging San Francisco!
On June 16, 2004, Metroblogging San Francisco saw its first posts go live - and a blog was born. Part of the Metroblogging family, Metroblogging SF has weathered friendly and unfriendly fire, a nasty burrito war, a fire fire storm, and a near fantastic buy-out by Yahoo. Along the way, we’ve used the “I’ve got to blog” excuse to sample some of the city’s finest eats and shared our reviews - checked out musical acts, shows, events, neighborhoods, and even found secret urban playgrounds.
For fans and critics, remember, we’re always looking for interested - and interesting - writers to join the team. Check out the application if you’re curious.
And remember - we’re just part of an effort to Think Global, Blog Local. If you haven’t meandered around the world via the other Metroblogging sites - check ‘em out - either via the list in the left-hand toolbar, or just click “Random City” in the top right, and see where you land.
