		<description>I agree. I so miss my old back staircase from my Mission days. Neighbors (or us) having parties often turned into one big house party. They do have a touch of that SF &quot;Tales of the City&quot; rooming house vibe.  I just pity the ones I look up and see in the back patios of the bars I often hang at out. I always hope - and like to think - they get some serious discount on rent for putting up with all that endless noise and smoke. (A pipe dream in SF no doubt!)</description>
