Apparently Rosario and Taye will be local and dressed all slutty and boho in a few weeks – as filming around Market & 6th is supposed start March 21st. According to the

    Dunno if it’s still there, but i used to eat at Rico’s Pizza on the corner of 6th and mission all the time, across the street from POW. HUGE slices of excellent pizza. The walk there was always entertaining.

    POW is no longer POW. Now it’s a place called LIT. Basically just a name change as they really didn’t alter that space much, if at all. Just removed the game stations that used to be there. (Obviously, the one cool thing in the place.) LIT actually tries to come up with some fairly cool specific genre nights music-wise (often a little too goth for my tastes…), but I’ve never seen it all that full in the times that I’ve passed at night.

    Across from POW/LIT is the recently refurbished (at taxpayer expense) ‘adult bookstore’. A MUNI driver plowed into it a little over a year ago, for no apparent reason. (See link below.) Rumors of the driver having just exited rehab not shockingly confirmed by MUNI. And equally not shockingly, never any public follow-up on just what happened.

    Across from POW is an abandoned storefront which I’m guessing must’ve been Rico’s? (I don’t recall it. There’s a Chico’s Pizza on 6th, just a few doors down from POW/LIT though.) Diagonally from LIT a Filipino-American community center (Bayanihan House) recently set up shop.

    Runaway MUNI Bus

    This is the best line: “Witnesses at Sixth and Mission say the bus seemed to head toward the store on its own.” …Must have porn…
