Your tax dollars at work

Last month, SF’s politico elites decided that they don’t need self-defense in their neighborhoods, and therefore, neither do the single moms in Hunters Point. But what have those wacky city government folks been up to lately? Here’s this week’s poop.

BeyondChron asks why the city is trying to shut down one of the few sources of employment to SF’s homeless population.

What happens to you if you make a make a habit of slacking off during work hours and stealing from your employer? If you work for the city, that could mean 10 days off without pay! Remember folks, privatization is baaaaad. To the Mayor’s credit, he has just committed to putting forward an initiative requiring some modicum of accountability among city workers.

Not wanting to be left out of our localized stupidfest, the Feds have sent us our own DEA agent to take care of those pesky Medicinal Marijuana clubs that we’ve been complaining about. From the Chron interview:

What are the DEA priorities in San Francisco?

The main one is medicinal marijuana. It’s legal here to buy marijuana,
which contradicts federal law.

Oy vey.
