I’ll test out my neigborhood soon - check on the “free-ness” of the free hotspots.
So, metroblog readers - go, roam, surf, blog, etc.

Bay Area Free Wi-Fi is about the entire bay area. I have used cheese in the past as well, but BayAreaFreeFi.com is so sweet. And they are confirmed free hotspots!
Both are cool, I expect most of the cheese list to make it onto BayAreaFreeFi.com soon enough anyway.

Thanks for the link, CD. Sean has a pretty good list up at cheesebikini, (and a fancy map!). But this isn’t about competition, it’s about supporting places that offer free wi-fi. And enjoying their service. Bay Area Free WiFi might just be the largest now of verified free listings in the Bay Area though. Soon enough all of the cheese ones will be assimilated.
BayAreaFreeFi.com is growing by a handful of listings a day thanks to dedicated subscribers. We’re at about 200 listings so far and growing. Thanks!
And, you’re right, the phone access is key! (And I’m working on a map too!)
