Weekend Stretch
Yesterday was a day of garbage can bombs, car alarms going off, and stray fireworks in the distance. Yes, we decided to stay in yesterday because, well, we’re lazy. Our weekends are habitually sleepy and lazy anyway, due to the busy work week. Plus, public transit on the weekend isn’t the best thing in the world.
The fiance has the day off today. Being the stalwart fighters of freedom the people at the EFF are, today is not a holiday for them. I’ve been pondering on whether to head on in and help out, but I’ve decided to do the job from home if possible. After all, I’m a volunteer, not a staffer. And it’s nice to spend an extra day with the fiance. Maybe we’ll go downtown later today. Mutual friends of ours are getting married, and we’ve yet to pick up a wedding gift. He suggested going to the Container Store on 4th Street for some storage ideas. Since I’m a big fan of the store, I happily agreed. I’m one of those weird people that scour furniture catalogs but never actually purchase anything.
I’m in a job-hunting mode now though. Maybe I’ll actually have enough money to purchase an item from one of those catalogs some day.
